Purpose and Scope of Application

This solution is a compact modular unit designed to ensure continuous feeding of mineral powder to an asphalt concrete plant (ACP) directly from the storage site. The unit provides stable and uninterrupted supply of bulk material, eliminating the need for additional resources and reducing logistics and manual labor costs.

The unit is especially effective when working with mineral powder packed in reusable soft containers (big bags) and can be used at temporary or permanent production sites.


Design and Operating Principle

The unit consists of the following main components:

  • welded sheet metal tank with a conical bottom,
  • vibration motor ensuring uniform material feeding,
  • bottom grid and pneumatic disk gate for precise dosing,
  • loading hopper connected to the silo mounted on a metal support frame,
  • air compressor, discharge hose, and flexible rubber sleeve ensuring direct feeding of the powder into the ACP silo.

The big bag discharger opens the bags with bulk material and unloads the contents into the receiving tank. Then the material is transported into the silo through the pneumatic conveying system. If necessary, bag filters can be installed to clean the exhaust air, which is especially important when working with dusty fractions.
